Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of this website and the watch and clock repair services provided by Klepsydra ("we", "us", "our"), operating from 118 Lebuh Armenian, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. By submitting an enquiry, engaging a service or using this website, you agree to these terms.

Definitions
- Service — any of the three workshop services described on the Solutions page: Timekeeping Assessment, Crystal & Dial Renewal, and Complication Overhaul.
- Client / You — any individual or entity engaging or enquiring about a Service.
- Piece — a watch or clock submitted for assessment or service work.
- Job Sheet — the written record maintained by Klepsydra for each Piece, recording all measurements, parts and actions.
- Service Coverage Period — the 24-month period applicable to Complication Overhaul work during which bench defects in the overhauled module are addressed at no additional labour charge.

Acceptance of Terms
Use of this website or engagement of any service constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree with any part, you should not submit an enquiry or commission a service. You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement. Where a Piece is submitted on behalf of another person, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Service Description
Klepsydra provides mechanical watch and clock repair services in George Town, Penang. Services are available by walk-in appointment or postal intake (for clients in Malaysia who have confirmed scope in advance). Each service has a defined scope, pricing and schedule as set out on the Solutions page. Services are not available outside Malaysia unless separately arranged.

Service Scope and Changes
The scope of each service is as described on the Solutions page. Standard consumables (lubricants, cleaning solvents, gaskets) are included in the flat rate. Wear parts (crystals, springs, wheels, crowns) requiring replacement are additional and will be identified, priced and confirmed with you before ordering. No replacement part will be ordered without your prior approval.
If, during bench work, a condition is found that affects the safety or function of the work being performed but was not foreseeable at intake, we will pause and contact you before proceeding with any additional scope.

Pricing and Payment
All prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM):
- Timekeeping Assessment: RM 440 (credited toward follow-on service within 60 days)
- Crystal & Dial Renewal: RM 1,320
- Complication Overhaul: RM 3,980
Wear parts, if required, are priced separately and confirmed before ordering. Payment is accepted by cash or bank transfer. Payment is due on collection or, for postal clients, before return despatch. Goods are not returned until payment is cleared.

Schedules and Timelines
Stated schedules are working estimates. Timekeeping Assessment: 3 working days. Crystal & Dial Renewal: 2–3 weeks. Complication Overhaul: 6–10 weeks. Schedules may extend where wear parts are on back-order or where a second fault is discovered during bench work. We will communicate any significant extension as soon as it is identified.

Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about the Piece including brand, reference, approximate age and known history
- Disclose any previous repair work or modifications known to you
- Collect the Piece within 60 days of notification that work is complete
- Ensure postal submissions are packaged securely per our guidance
- Use this website only for lawful purposes

Service Coverage Period
Complication Overhaul work carries a 24-month service coverage period on the overhauled module commencing from the date of collection. During this period, bench faults arising in the overhauled module will be addressed at no additional labour charge. This coverage does not apply to: accidental damage, external case damage, components outside the overhauled module, or deterioration resulting from use in conditions incompatible with the Piece's original specification. Full terms are stated on the handover document.

Uncollected Items
Pieces not collected within 60 days of notification will attract a storage charge of RM 15 per week. Pieces uncollected for more than 12 months after notification, following reasonable attempts to contact the client, may be treated as abandoned under applicable Malaysian law. We will document all contact attempts.

Intellectual Property
All content on this website — text, layout, images and design — is the property of Klepsydra or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or adapt any content without written permission. Use of this website does not grant any licence to our intellectual property.

Disclaimers
This website is provided for informational purposes. While we take care to keep content accurate, we make no representation as to the completeness or currency of any information. Service outcomes depend on the condition of the individual Piece. We do not make forward-looking representations about performance outcomes beyond the measurements and observations documented in the Job Sheet.
Timekeeping performance after service depends on factors including the age of the movement, the condition of parts that were not replaced, and subsequent usage conditions.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, our liability in connection with any service is limited to the fee paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by our negligence.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. We encourage clients to contact us in the first instance to resolve any concern informally. We will respond to written complaints within 14 business days.

Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of this website or engagement of services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
